Another Senior Saved!

After months and months of waiting patiently for a new home, Ms. Lady finally found one. She's had a really tough life so far and now the tides have finally turned for her.

Originally found emanciated and wandering on the streets near Plant City, a kind hearted person took her in. No one came to claim her or responded to any of the ads looking for her owner. A microchip led to an unregistered and unresponsive owner. Her rescuer thought she may have found a good home but not only was it not, poor Ms. Lady wound up in a high-kill shelter. That's when DRTB stepped into help. Thanks to Brenda G. for providing a wonderful foster home and putting some weight back on the poor skinny girl. Despite Ms. Lady being so pretty and the perfect Dal, we knew it was going to be hard to find her a home because of her being 8+ years of age.

But recently one day, out of the blue, we got a call from a Dal lover who had adopted a deaf Dal through us 4 years ago. She was ready to add to her spotted family and saw Ms. Lady on Petfinder. It was a perfect fit and Ms. Lady can now spend her retirement in peace.

Please consider giving an older Dal another chance....they make wonderful, settled and gentle instant companions. Just ask anyone who has taken one in!
