Andyman!

A Howling Hound

After Hurricane Katrina, shelters started filling up beyond their capacity quickly. We knew we had to do something to help. So we contacted our local Humane Society and offered to foster their oldest, most unadoptable dogs.

Andy was an 8 year old redbone hound who was totally blind in one eye and almost blind in the other. He was originally rescued from a cruel shelter in Georgia whose director was going to shoot all the dogs not adopted. The Humane Society saved him from that tragedy but he had not yet been adopted after several months when the hurricane struck.

Needless to say, we never gave Andyman back. He is now around 12, graying around the muzzle but one of our own pack for good!
