Pebbles was the other "foster" we took from the Humane Society after Hurricane Katrina. Dumped by her owners at 12 years old because they were moving, we knew the old gal didn't have much of a chance for a new home. She seemed to like hanging out with the boys at our place so we decided to make her a permanent resident.
Three years later, Ms. Pebs is still playing Mother Matriarch to Mikey, Cloud and Andy - her pack of canines. She makes sure they are all out with her during playtime but if one gets too close or bothers her, she lets them know with a little snarl that she is the boss. It is so cute to watch. She doesn't get around too fast but enjoys just laying in the yard and watching the sights around her.
