"A Senior Dal Heads Home!"

Although Susan had just lost her 13 1/2 year old Dalmatian to old age, that didn't stop her from wanting to give another senior a chance at life.

Enter, Grandpa Spot, an old Dal found wondering with a head collar in Naples. Even though that led us all to believe he had a home, even after an announcement on a local radio station, no one came to claim the old boy. Except for the aches and pains of a senior dog, he was in good health and obviously distressed at being in a shelter.

We couldn't let the story end that way without a try. Luck had it that Susan had just contacted us and after seeing his photo she was willing to adopt him! Then faithful volunteer Frank N. made the long trek down to Collier Co. Animal Services to bring him back to Tampa. Susan drove across the state to Brooksville with her 13.5 old Westie to meet him and they left last night one big new happy family! Susan is committed to doing whatever it takes to give "Isreal" a comfortable life for his remaining time that almost got cut short!

She is also trying to now convince others to give the senior dogs a chance....we couldn't agree with her more and thank her for her efforts.
