Safe Now!

Pecas has become Rodney and the boy has no problem with the name change. He is the best! Ms. Wegner is doing great with him and establishing some behavioral guidelines that Rodney picks up on right away. They both slept on the coach together while I was working on some odds and ends yesterday. The first night he jumped in bed with Wegner and slept in my arms. He is also getting less scared of the dark.

Rodney loves the neighborhood and his back yard. He especially loves taking monster walks with Wegner. The little guy was totally on sensory overload looking at all the flowering trees and watching squirrels, ducks and geese. Also, some of my friends came out to meet him. He loves everyone and everything. Rodney also enjoyed going for a big walk with his Grandma and Jasmine.

Riding with Rodney was fine. I gave him a chew and he curled up in the back. When we stopped at a rest stop I laughed when I noticed that Rodney decided to take the driver's seat and Wegner was sitting pretty on the passenger side.

Rodney is a drama queen about being crated when I leave. However, he does chill and finally just sleeps. He still will have to get out of the chewing stage. However, every Dal does that and it takes time to work through it.

Tara, you did a wonderful job as a The Foster Mom. I really appreciate the time you spent with the little guy. I can't believe someone would ever want to give the little guy up.
